Originally, the idea was to keep discussion on this site serious and sober. With that in mind, I made it a policy that you had to register and give your real name (or at least pretend to) before you could leave a comment on this site. By creating a hoop to jump through, only the determined riff raff would get in.

But who was I kidding? Who's going to want visit a site where a handful of stuffed shirts discuss where Humason stands on the issues? Democracy should be fun and participatory for everyone, not just policy wonks. This site stands a much better chance of growing and thriving if it's an interesting place to visit and easier to join in discussions.

Maybe once this site gets going, we'll set up a special section for the hard core political types. And those who want to be taken more seriously still have the option of registering with their real names. You'll still need to register if you want to post an article to the front page.

At any rate, we'll see how this comment policy works out and tweak it as necessary. For now, welcome to the new, all-inclusive Don Humason Watch website!
